Spring Market 2015: Color is Back

Sunny yellow and spring green greet buyers at High Point Market
Our little goose went to market this week...the High Point Spring 2015 Furniture Market and what did she find?  Color, color everywhere.  While we love the creams, greys and tans of the last few years, it's time to add a little color back into our homes.

Fuchsia banding on watercolor blues and greens

Every shade of pink from fuchsia to blush made its way into almost every showroom this season.  Paired with bright oranges and clear blues, this year's pink is anything but feminine.

Pink and orange and zebra, oh my!

Sweet birds line up against bold orange

Leather in orangeade, turquoise and lime green, some stamped with reptile patterns weren't in short supply.  Just when we think the bird motif might be waning, a new bold version pops up its head.

Fun new frames in bold colors

Why settle for one emerald green sofa when you can have two? Note the simple rug in a neutral color grounds the primary colors in this room.

Channel back detail cozy up these box chairs
Even brown leather gets a shot of red and a little distressed detail.  The creamy ottoman shows off a little contrast welt to define its edges.  And again, two is better than one!

A bit of yellow keeps the blues at bay when paired with eggplant and red. Throw in a little black and this room is dramatic without being too chaotic.

A bit of pink adds just the right touch.

A tone on tone geometric pattern gets a bit of color
A little bold color goes a long way in a neutral room.  A chair in a primary color, several bold throw pillows or a shot of citrus on a beige field of linen is all the color needed to brighten up a space.

Cobalt blue grounds this beautiful space

Cobalt and navy blues have taken over the design scene this past year.  This almost navy color pairs beautifully with orange and reds as in times past.

A washed rug in jewel tones gives this ottoman a vintage vibe.
Mixed with pink and violet for a more exotic East India look, this cobalt blue wall makes a bold statement.

Cream and aqua get a punch of color with just a few pillows and accessories in a muted orange.

Many thanks to one of our favorites Wesley Hall for inspiring us on Instagram all week.  It was almost as fun as being there.  A few sneak peeks of  Lee Industries, as well.
