Colorful Teen Bedroom

We were excited to design a bedroom for a darling 12-year-old girl. To reflect her fun, unique and stylish personality, we changed the room from pastel pink and a bright green, to a palette that could grow with her.

The rug became the inspiration for the room, focusing on the charcoal grey with pops of turquoise, mustard and white. An upholstered headboard was used in a graphic, wide stripe. Bedroom d├ęcor was chosen that reflected the client’s personality which added a personal touch to the room. A favorite were the wall brackets that were used as a shelf to hold and display a few of her favorite books.

The preteen and her friends can now climb a short ladder off her bedroom and find themselves in a quaint and fun loft where they can watch movies, talk and have girls’ nights. The loft was narrow, so we used a bench between two chairs as a cocktail table where they could set drinks, popcorn and magazines. It definitely turned out to be a space she will love to gather with friends for years to come!
